Stop Defending Police Brutality.

Too many bootlickers like this comment.

All too often, I and many others have seen people unironically share this bootlicker's comment. I have seen it far too many times. People who are really stupid actually think this, and say it out loud. There is no evidence that the woman above was rioting, and thus, she did not deserve to have a thug cop shoot her in the head with a damn rubber bullet. A protest that may turn violent does not give a violent pig cop carte blanche to nearly kill people.

People who approvingly share this post are endorsing police officers who decide to play God and kill people, or be sadists and severely injure people. There is no "if's", "and's", or "but's" about it. And for the record:

I, just like many other people, have condemned in the strongest possible terms, the destruction of private or public property*. (*Indicates except for the police departments where their officer murdered someone, that precinct had it coming.) But just as we condemn rioters (those who do not care about police brutality), *most* of you (who whine about riots) do not care about the violence conducted by the police, and use the violence conducted by rioters to discredit our calls for change. Until you unequivocally condemn police brutality, and call for change, shut up. We know you do not care.

And also, there are numerous professions where someone would be fired for doing 1/5 of what a police officer has done. Threatening people over being insulted? Fired. Shooting a woman (or man, for that matter) in the crotch with a rubber bullet (which is NOT non-lethal)? Fired.

Here's an article about a woman being shot in the head with a rubber bullet. I am not sure if it's the same woman as shown in the first image on this post, but I am more inclined to say those are two separate people.

I have also seen the same bootlickers defending a police officer macing a child. Yes, no one should bring a child to a protest or riot, but that does not give the officer the justification to intentionally or negligently mace someone. And, if you are more upset at the parents, or the cop, YOU are the problem. People who defend police brutalizing those excerising the freedom of protest are more than likely borderline fascists, and must look in the mirror, because defending state sanctioned terrorism is not a good look.

The Hot Take of This Blog.

If you use the following lines:

"So and So would not have died or been injured had they just followed the law."

Or:

"So and So would not have died or been injured had they just followed orders."

Then by your own lack of logic, someone could say:

"Had she not worn that item, she would not have been raped." (Obviously anyone who believes that is a disturbed individual).

For the smooth brained people, the point is that you are victim blaming. Someone doing something wrong is not a justification for bad things happening to them. (What you wear never justifies anything that happens to you. EVER.) Refusing to follow police orders NEVER justifies your murder, nor does your presence at a riot, where you did nothing to justify being attacked. Not following the law does not automatically justify your death, either. And let's not forget, a number of people have been murdered by the police, and they followed the law.

    His name was Daniel Shavers.

    Her name was Breonna Taylor.

I could name the rest, but you get the point. Daniel Shaver was following an officer's orders, and was executed in spite of that. Breonna Taylor was executed after police executed a no-knock search warrant, and Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired a weapon at police since they were breaking into the apartment after midnight, and it is disputed if the police announced their presence. Reckless police officers killed her, and she did not do anything that broke a single law.

Not all laws are just (plenty or anything but), and it is one's moral obligation to disobey unjust laws. Those who defend police violence by saying "just follow the orders" or "just follow the law", have lost the plot, and have nothing legitimate to say. These riots and protests would not be happening if cops stopped murdering people. It's that simple. It's on the cops, who do anything but protect and serve, but abuse and supress.

Chao.
